Magna Law is a niche firm of solicitors, based in the South West, specialising in food law, licensing, health & safety and environmental law including public rights of way with particular emphasis on the Food & Drink / Agriculture sector.

The Director and Principal Solicitor of Magna Law is Jane Hanney a leading practitioner in these areas and one of the few specialists in food law and public rights of way nationally. She is a member of the Law Society Food Law Group and has authored various publications on food law and licensing for the Law Society and other organisations.

As well as her legal qualifications and experience, Jane also has a strong scientific background having previously worked as a Research Biochemist at St Thomas’s Hospital and as a Senior Information Scientist at the Department of Health dealing with the health effects of chemicals in food, consumer products and the environment. She is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
